Have you noticed more videos in your Facebook news feed lately?

Do you want to take advantage of the benefits provided by posting your Magisto for Business created videos on your company Facebook page?

Chances are your answers are yes….and YES!!!

Recently-introduced Facebook features like autoplay have made videos even more eye-catching than regular posts, and thus they’ve become a far more effective marketing tool.

Here are 8 ways to get more user engagement with your Facebook videos, and more traffic for your business.

Facebook Video Marketing
Facebook Video Marketing

#1: Make It Intimate:

Videos that feel intimate get more shares and engagement than just generic sales messages. For instance, you could post a video offering to answer users’ questions (they can send via email), and then post subsequent videos giving direct answers to those questions. The fact is, video personally communicates a message better than anything else.

However, you don’t have to have a set or a big film crew to make these types of videos. Just give an answer that’s personal and from the heart, maybe even put it together with great editing, quotes, and music using a tool like Magisto for Business.

#2: Educate Your Audience:

Another effective way to use Facebook video is to give a quick tip or teach something useful to your audience. Post them weekly or even daily so your viewers know they can always come back for fresh content. For instance, a restaurant could offer step-by-step recipes for making dishes at home that are inspired by their own fare. But this can apply to any type of business from real estate to fitness and beyond.

#3: Be Entertaining:

People go on Facebook to have fun, but that doesn’t mean you have to post cat videos or something totally off-topic just to get their attention. Entertain with informal, behind-the-scenes interviews at your company or create something fun like a music video that uniquely conveys your message. With all of the tools available online today, making a video that stands out is easier than ever.

#4: Add a Featured Video:

Another new marketing option on Facebook is Featured Videos.

When you add a Featured Video, that video is more prominent in feeds and on your page. It’s placed just above your About section and becomes larger on your Videos tab:

Use that space to promote your most recent video or an upcoming event or sale.

#5: Create a Playlist:

Another effective thing you can do on your Video tab is to add video playlists (you can do this under the same ‘Videos’ Tab). You can create multiple playlists to guide people as they navigate through your videos, or put all of your videos about a particular product or theme into a single playlist so that people can find them all in one place.

#6: Use the “Watch Video” Call-to-Action:

The Facebook Call-to-Action button allows you to draw attention to a video on your website from your Facebook cover image. This can be a significant traffic-driver for people who visit your page.

There are several options for the Call-to-Action button, including “Watch Video.” So the cover photo should reflect what’s in the video behind the button. Think of the cover photo as the sizzle, and the Call-to-Action button as the steak.

On Magisto, we use “Use App” in the image below but you could use this to add, “Watch Video” as mentioned above:

#7: Boost Video Views with an Ad:

Consider giving your video an extra boost with a Facebook video ad. If your video is somehow inspiring or useful you’ll get some degree of natural shares. But a relatively small amount of ad budget will propel the video much further on Facebook.

Watch to see which of your videos gets the most engagement or shares organically, and think about boosting the power of that natural appeal with a Facebook video ad.

#8: Embed Facebook Videos in Blog Posts:

Facebook videos have an Embed feature available just like YouTube. The videos can be directly embedded to play in blog posts on your own website, where users can see all of the comments and likes from the original Facebook post.

To embed Facebook video:

#1: Navigate to the full video post

#2: Click on the date stamp on the post:

#3: Or go into the video tab and select the video:

#4: Select the Embed Post link on the right sidebar:

When you click Embed Post, a pop-up box will appear and you can copy and paste the code directly into your blog post or website.

Any type of business can benefit from having an effective Facebook video strategy to take full advantage of the organic reach provided by the massive platform. Use video to connect more deeply with your audience and help traffic to your website or business.

Don’t forget to have fun!
